The Oberon String Quartet
The
Oberon String Quartet was formed in 1990 and has established itself
as one of the most successful quartets in London and the South of England.
Drawing from a team of 15 professional and experienced musicians the
quartet is able to provide music for a number of different functions
on one day.

With
over 16 years of experience in providing the highest quality of music
for weddings, parties, corporate events and many other functions the
quartet has gained a reputation for reliability, smartness and a friendly
flexible approach. This trust in our professionalism has been recognized
by many venues who continue to recommend our services including Woburn
Abbey, Phyllis Court Club, Ashridge Management College, The Grim’s
Dyke, Ritz, Taplow House and Compleat Angler Hotels.

The
Oberon String Quartet recently became the first string quartet to perform
at the new Home Office building in Marsham Street. They performed in
front of many distinguished guests including The Home Secretary and
The Permanent Secretary.

The
quartet is used to playing at many different types of occasions including
performing in an episode of Eastenders. Members of the quartet have
appeared with stars such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John and Sting.
Recently The Oberon String Quartet played for the WRVS 60th Anniversary
Party at St. James's Palace in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen
and HRH The Duke Of Edinburgh.

With
over 20 hours of music in our repertoire we have a large and varied
selection of styles to cater for most tastes. If a particular favourite
piece is not seen on the attached list then please do ask us because
we may possess or be able to arrange it. (We need prior notice for arrangements
and there may be a small charge for this service.)

Recently
a client wanted a performance of his favourite song by ‘Yes’
played during the signing of the register. Professional musician and
arranger Richard Benbow provided the score and The Oberon String Quartet
provided the performance.

The
Oberon String Quartet is based in East Finchley, London and covers mainly
the areas of London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlessex, Surrey,
Berkshire and Bedfordshire.
